Refined Modeling and Compensation of Current Transformers Behavior for Line Parameters Estimation Based on Synchronized Measurements

Nowadays, in modern management and control applications, line parameters need to be known more accurately than the past achieve a reliable operation of distribution grids. Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) may improve estimation processes, but accuracy result is affected by all elements PMU-based measurement chain, particular instrument transformers. Current transformers (CTs) are nonlinear therefore their behavior not easily described: models cannot straightforwardly included problem. In this regard, paper refines modeling compensation CT systematic errors based on different methods describe transformer under various operating conditions.
